Privacy Policy
This policy covers two things: this website, lessonsinink.pages.dev, and Lessons in Ink Publisher, the tool the channel uses to publish its own videos to YouTube.
The website
This website has no accounts, no forms, no cookies, no analytics and no advertising. We collect nothing about you when you read it. Our host, Cloudflare, processes the technical information every web server receives, such as your IP address and browser type, in order to deliver the pages and protect the site; see Cloudflare's privacy policy. Links to YouTube and Instagram take you to those services, whose own policies then apply.
Lessons in Ink Publisher and YouTube API Services
Lessons in Ink Publisher uses YouTube API Services. It is used only by the owner of the Lessons in Ink channel, to publish that channel's own videos. By signing in with Google, the channel owner allows it to act on the Lessons in Ink YouTube channel. Google's handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
What the Publisher accesses
- The Lessons in Ink YouTube channel's own videos, playlists, thumbnails and caption tracks, in order to upload new videos, set their details and release time, add subtitles and add them to playlists.
- The status of its own uploads (for example, whether processing has finished and when a video is scheduled to go public).
It does not access viewers' data, comments, subscribers, analytics, other channels, Gmail, contacts or any other Google service.
What is stored, and where
The only thing the Publisher stores is the sign-in token Google issues, kept in a private file on the channel owner's computer so the tool can keep publishing without asking to sign in each time. Upload results (a video's ID and scheduled time) are logged in the same place. None of this is sent to any server other than Google's, and nothing is stored in the cloud by us.
How the data is used and shared
Data obtained through YouTube API Services is used only to publish and manage the Lessons in Ink channel's own videos. It is never sold, shared with third parties, used for advertising, or used to train any model. Lessons in Ink Publisher's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Cookies and device information
Neither the website nor the Publisher places cookies or similar technology on your device, or reads device information from it.
Revoking access and deleting data
Access given to Lessons in Ink Publisher can be revoked at any time from the Google security settings page. Once access is revoked, the stored token stops working, and the Publisher deletes it and its upload log from the owner's computer the next time it runs.
Children
Neither the website nor the Publisher is directed at children, and neither collects information from anyone.
Changes and contact
